GALLSTONE AND HOMOEOPATHY

GALLSTONE: gallstone is a crystalline concretion formed within the gallbladder by accretion of bile components. These calculi are formed in the gallbladder, but may pass distally into other parts of the biliary tract such as the cystic ductcommon bile ductpancreatic duct, or the ampulla of Vater.

GALLSTONE OVERVIEW:
                   Gallstones are the solid particles forms in the Gall Bladder. Gall Bladder is a saclike or pear-shaped organ in the upper right part of the abdomen of Human body, situated below the Liver. Gall Bladder is a part of biliary system, which includes Liver and Pancreas. Biliary system mainly helps in producing Bile and digestive enzymes.

Types Of Gallstone:
                                  There are two type of gallstone:
                                                            1) Cholesterol Stone and;
                                                            2) Pigment Stone.

1) Cholesterol Stone: These are the most common and make up approximately 80% of all gallstone. These are yellow-greenish in color and form due to much of cholesterol in the bile. 


2) Pigment Stone : These are stones are in fact small, dark stones and cause due to excess of bilirubin in the bile.


SYMPTOMS OF GALLSTONE:
                                                         The most common symptom is Biliary Colic which is a very specific type of pain occurring in 80% of the people, the pain can remain 15 minutes to 4-5 hours, if the pain last for 4-5 hours it means that a complication - usually cholecystitis - has developed.  Apart from this a person can suffer from Nausea, can experience Jaundice, as well as in severe cases cirrhosis.


Treatment:
                     A) Diet :        

                                    i) Low in Saturated Fat
                                   ii) Avoid foods high in cholesterol these include Liver, Eggs, Prawns etc.
                                  iii) Take plenty of Fruits and vegetables.
                                  iv) Use healthier cooking methods, such as grilling, boiling, baking, poaching or casseroling.


                    B) Homoeopathy Medicine:
                                   1) Berberis Vulgaris (Mother Tincture)
                                   2) Cheledonium (Mother Tincture)
 Doses:
           1) Berberis Vulgaris (Mother Tincture)--Morning 10 drops (Empty Stomach) 
           2) Cheledonium (Mother Tincture)--Night 10 drops (Half an hour after Dinner)
